Description:
Non-paid internship available with the Morning Show on KEARTH 101. Must show proof of enrollment in college internship program.
The intern will receive invaluable “behind the scenes” experience in the step-by-step production of a major market morning show. He/she will gain practical knowledge in production and radio broadcasting, as well as gain access to networking opportunities.
KEARTH 101 is looking for someone with a desire to be part of an energetic and positive Morning Show team in the #2 market in the nation!
Commitment:
The Morning Show runs Monday thru Friday, from 5:30am to 10:00am. Hours will depend upon intern’s course schedule. Preferred commitment for this internship is 2-3 days per week, for approximately 4 hours per day.
Responsibilities:
Technical Experience (We are willing to teach the right candidate)
DAT, C.D., Audio Vault, Adobe Audition, Skimmer Tapes, Board Operation, etc.
Research
Scan newspapers, internet, etc. for timely items used in the morning show
Research items on topical events happening in our area
Administrative Work
Copying items needed for morning show content
Sorting and distributing incoming faxes.
Answering incoming Morning Show telephone calls
Answering request lines and taking winner info
Information:
The intern will report to Samantha Stander, Executive Producer of the Morning Show.
