Internship for Community Services & Public Affairs department

BECOME AN INTERN AT CBS RADIO/L.A.!!!

CBS Radio’s Community Services & Public Affairs department is recruiting INTERNS!

CBS Radio’s Internship Program provides a professional and educational experience as it exposes interns to various facets of the radio industry.

CBS Radio is a leader in the broadcast entertainment industry!

 

DESCRIPTION:
This program will give the successful intern candidate the opportunity to be exposed to all facets of community services and public affairs.

This non-paid internship will allow the intern to work directly with CBS Radio/L.A.’s community service and public affairs department on a variety of different projects – with additional interaction with and exposure to the other departments of the radio station (programming, promotions, sales and finance).

CBS Radio encourages teamwork and leadership while providing an educational experience for students with a passionate interest for business development and the radio industry.

All interns at CBS Radio must receive college credit and will receive no other compensation. Interns must provide a letter from the college indicating the number of credits they will receive for completing the internship.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assisting with Quarterly Reports for all stations (KFWB-AM, KNX-AM, KLSX-FM, KRTH-FM and KTWV-FM)
  • Assist in the re-organization of public files for all stations (KFWB-AM, KNX-AM, KLSX-FM, KRTH-FM and KTWV-FM)
  • Assist in updating “Community Contacts”
  • Prepare public affairs interview packets
  • Prepare public affairs release for packets
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must show proof of enrollment in college internship program for college credit
  • Must have flexible schedule and reliable transportation
  • Must be project-oriented
  • Must have a positive and professional attitude
  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
