Sunday I had some fun on Hollywood Boulevard, and if you can’t have fun on Hollywood Boulevard, you can’t have fun.
K-EARTH-101 was set up in front of the Kodak Theatre for the American Express tree planting grant event coinciding with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s MTLA initiative, (More Trees for L.A.). How it works is everyone who uses their American Express Card at participating merchants through October 31st, cast a vote for more trees for our city. It’s a competition with other major city’s around the U.S. for one million dollars towards tree-planting.
I was at the stunning exhibit honoring our city that spelled out L.A in big fauna laden letters, which served as a great posing prop for the tourists flooding the Boulevard to have their picture snapped in front of, just to prove that they were really in L.A. or in this case tinsel town.
I want to thank Dawn Anderson from American Express for sharing her sun-block with me, and for handing out tote-bags complete with wild flower seeds. And to Norm and his family for stopping by, that’s his son Brian in the picture, and yes I am for the Birds…
