The weekend was spectacular for whatever your brand of recreation is. Don’t say video games.
Saturday was the golf club's monthly away tournament at Brookside number 2, right there in the shadow of the Rose Bowl. The historic golf venue which doubles as a parking lot for Rose Bowl events allowed a lot of low scores, mine not included. I fired a slick 91. My short game forgot to show up, maybe it was in anticipation of the time change. As I’ve mentioned before, kudos to the Superintendent who has the course in better shape than many who don’t double as a parking lot. The greens are lightning fast.
Then Sunday, I visited my sister and her husband who live in Santa Barbara and played a nine hole round at a quaint little course that’s been around since the early 60’s, Twin Lakes.
Par is 28 and I shot a four over par 32, so my handicap follows me wherever I go. Hope you took advantage of the outdoors in our great weather.
