I usually have the same response,"Rode my bike" and "Played golf."
Saturday was a 21-mile ride early enough in the day where the heat didn’t get to me so much. But afterwards, while sitting in air conditioned comfort, I realized that I kicked my butt.
Whew!!!
After all is said and done it was a great workout.
Then Sunday, I had an 8:27 tee time. Deciding to walk, I brought my push cart, staying hydrated all along 18-holes. Another good work out, if you’ll remember it was very humid. Nothing feels better than a nice shower after the round if for no other reason than to wash off the SPF 30 sun block.
By the way, it went pretty well except for the new putter that I purchased because I liked its looks. I won’t mention the brand name because I would slander the make and model, and wouldn’t want to put a corporate lawyer to work. I’ll just say that the putter didn’t perform as expected, which reminded me of a Lee Trevino interview where he said that a particular putter was like a snake in his hands and subsequently found it’s way into Lee’s closet where it never again saw the light of day. Mine isn’t going in the closet but rather on eBay, so someone else can give it a chance.
Moral of the experience, you can’t always judge a putter by its looks.
