K-EARTH 101 Tickets at 2pm Contest
Official Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. The K-EARTH 101 “Tickets At 2PM Hour” contest will begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) on Monday, April 28th, 2008 and will continue each weekday until a date TBD PM PT.
b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s):
Enter by Listening: Contest is open to residents in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego Counties All contestants must listen to K-EARTH 101 weekdays (M-F) during the 10am (Pacific Standard Time) hour for Jim Carson (or on-air personality) to announce the “Tickets At 2” Song of the Day, artist and title and the designated number caller to win. The designated “Tickets at 2pm Song of the Day” will be played once sometime between 2:00p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (PST). Listeners must call 1-800-232-KRTH immediately after the song begins playing. The correct qualified designated number caller to be received by the Station’s contest line will be prompted to identify why they are calling. Upon confirmation of contest eligibility, the caller will win that day’s prize.
c. When listening to play call in contests: Contestants’ chances of winning are increased by listening to K-EARTH 101 FM. If listening via online streaming, contestants are hereby notified that internet streaming is not played in real time. There is a delay from what is heard on K-EARTH 101 FM.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all K-EARTH 101 listeners who are 18 years of age or older at the date and time contest is played, legal U.S. residents, who reside in the following Counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego. Employees of K-EARTH 101, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura metropolitan areas and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a K-EARTH 101 contest with a prize value of up to $599 only once every sixty days. Any contest won with a prize valued at $600.00 or more, the listener is eligible to win again after six months.
c. One Winner Per Household
3. Prize:
a. Prizes will vary in quantity and value and will be announced during each daily contest.
b. Any prize checks will be made payable to the winner’s name given at the time of winning. Prize checks will be mailed to the address given at the time of winning. Prize checks will not be processed until K-EARTH 101 receives a completed W-9, copy of winner’s valid California ID/Drivers License, Social Security Card and a signed copy of these rules. The winner will forfeit any prize for which the winner does not submit complete paperwork for within thirty (30) days of winning. K-EARTH 101 is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution or transfer of prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value. The prizes are expressly limited to the item listed above and do not include taxes. Other restrictions may apply.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of K-EARTH 101 management with respect to the contest are final.
b. On-air winners will be selected as per section 1.b. of these Official Rules.
c. Winners need not be present, but call-in winners need to listen to win.
d. Odds of winning via call-in method depend on the number and order of calls received.
5. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, participants and winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional notification or compensation (financial or otherwise). Where legal, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to sign a publicity release authorizing the same prior to acceptance of a prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, K-EARTH 101 in its sole discretion may require contest winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold K-EARTH 101, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. K-EARTH 101 reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of K-EARTH 101.
f. K-EARTH 101 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of K-EARTH 101, 5670 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90036, or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to K-EARTH 101. |
