Here’s the reaction:
Gary: I'm hoping I'm the 101th caller to tell you the pop corn video is a hoax. If I am, do I win a prize? –Dave in Los Angeles
Gary-That popcorn video is a hoax. Cell phones do not emit microwaves to heat anything. Check it out at Urban Legends www.snopes.com- James in Palmdale
Gary: 4 members of my family tried the popcorn and the 4 cell phones trick and it didn't work. We used regular popcorn and then microwave popcorn and we only used 4 kernels of corn. Maybe they preheated the popcorn - don't know. Another UTube showed 3 cell phones. Don't know how they did it.-Mickey in North Hills
Gary: Here are two web sites that confirm the popcorn and the cell phone video is a hoax. Enjoy! This web site shows you how it's done. http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=18624 This web site confirms it is a hoax. http://www.snopes.com/science/cookegg.asp -Patti in Mission Hills
Gary- I heard earlier in the program about the cell phone stunt that popped the popcorn. This is in fact a hoax. Please see Truthorfiction.com: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/c/cell-popcorn.htm The videos are fake, an attempt at viral marketing by Cardo, a manufacturer of Bluetooth headsets. They were originally released on May 28, 2008. I thought I would present the facts so that Gary doesn't post the video and falsely report cell phone radiation. –Randy in Irvine
WHY ISN’T BLUETOOTH SCARIER THAN A HAND-HELD CELL PHONE? IT’S A TRANSMITTER HOOKED ONTO YOUR HEAD!!
See you tomorrow.
