Here’s another energy-related story you have to see! It’s about hydrogen-power… check it out!
AND NOW, THE TORRENT OF EMAILS FROM MIDDLE-AGED WOMEN!
Gary, good morning to you and your crew, my daughters (mid-thirty's), a friend (twentyish)and I (definitely middle age)went to see Mamma Mia this weekend, we loved it! Who says that you have to be a cute, young, thin, thing (meaning men or women) to have fun, we come in all sizes, shapes and ages And I have to disagree with your daughter, Pierce Brosnan did not look bad without his shirt! Meryl Streep was fantastic! Well I will get off my soap box now and I will go again this weekend to see Mamma Mia, this time with my middle age friends.-Maria in Santa Ana
Saw Mamma Mia with some girlfriends - (all of us nearing or hitting the big 4-0)and although we enjoyed the laugh of a "feel good movie", we all agreed that the "talent" was poor. Personally, I was embarrassed for these seasoned actors. The singing and dancing was appalling. It was like watching a bad version of a high school musical. But at least we had a good laugh and came out of the theatre singing (and after some cocktails, dancing)...-Denise in Whittier
Sorry, Gary, if seeing Middle aged women dance in "Mamma Mia" was distasteful to you -- I am a 55 year old spinster who DID see the movie and found it refreshing to see women my age and older who felt enthusiastic enough to dance and actually LIKE THEMSELVES!! My father had an expression to describe someone like you and your hurtful comments: " sounds like a man with a paper ass and a handful of matches."-Dee in Van Nuys
Regarding Jay Leno: I had not watched the Tonight show in years because of the late night hour. But I started watching Jay again during the strike and also because of Tivo. I was so impressed with the way he carried his show abiding by the union's restrictions so that he could keep his staff employed. His talent became so apparent but it fell short of his "natural" affinity towards people in general. He simply enjoys people! I am ashamed to admit that I did not know he was being forced to retire and I just happened to turn on your radio show this morning in the middle of your discussion about it. Now I am ticked off at NBC! I think we need to unite, Gary! THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR JAY LENO........ Rose Johnson in Ventura
SEE YOU TOMORROW FOR HUMP DAY, PUMP DAY!
