At a very young age, Bob Malik knew what he wanted to do in life. Although American History was his favorite subject at Central Catholic High School in Modesto, Bob went to radio school in Huntington Beach to get his first class FCC license. Prior to that, Bob took courses in the radio department of Modesto Junior College.
His first radio job was also his big break, weekends at KFIV in Modesto. Nearby San Francisco’s KYA beckoned and he eventually landed at KFRC prior to coming to K-EARTH 101 in November 2001.
Bob Malik also hosts The Beatle Years Sunday mornings on K-EARTH 101. A collector of Beatle memorabilia.

My Funniest Radio Story: I have plenty, which one can I tell?
About 20 year's ago, I was working at a San Francisco radio station when I received a call from Bob Hope’s Publicist. She wanted me to do an interview with the legendary comedian about his current NBC special. Of course, I wasn’t going to pass up this chance!
But, first I needed to get a little dirt on Bob Hope for the interview. Bob’s publicist hesitated but gave in after awhile. After I talked to Bob about his Texaco special on NBC, starring the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Brooke Shields et cetra, it was time for the secret question. As I was wrapping up I said, “Bob… we’ll be sure to watch tonight, but --- I have to ask you something. What’s this I hear about you wearing only your PJ’s during dress rehearsal today?”
After a long long pause Bob Hope LAUGHED HYSTERICALLY. Finally he said, “You got me Bob.Yah got me! How did you know that?”
I replied, “It’s everywhere Bob… we’ve been talking about it all morning.”
