Guest: Abbe Land, Co-CEO of The Los Angeles Free Clinic, the oldest continuously operating free clinic in the nation. The Los Angeles Free Clinic provides free medical and dental care, counseling, HIV testing, health education, prenatal care and wellness programs, for thousands of the uninsured each year. She also talked about their efforts to branch out and provide literacy services to Free Clinic patients and ministering to the whole individual. Ms. Land also promoted an upcoming Golf fundraising event that will help support the programs and services of the clinic.

Guest: Jose Hernandez, Founder of The Hispanic Heritage Society, discussed this non-profit organization which funds a music education program for children. The mission of this organization in part, is to educate and build an identity in our children with the value mariachi music can have on their minds and hearts. José Hernandez (who is considered the "King" of mariachi music in the U.S.) believes mariachi music is the bridge to instill the identity of a harmonious heritage within children. He also promoted their Annual Benefit Concert, April 20th at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse featuring: Mariachi King, José Hernandez & Special guest, Trumpet virtuoso Arturo Sandoval; Mariachi Sold de Mexico and the all female mariachi group, Reyna de los Angeles along with 100 students from South El Monte, Compton, Pasadena, Lakewood & Magnolia Elementary.

Guest: Jodee Blanco, author of Please Stop Laughing At Us:One Survivor’s Extraordinary Quest to Stop School Bullying, discussed her book and anti bullying program that she designed after surviving years of painful and cruel bullying in her own life. She described some of the bulling personalities and explained how their actions can often escape detection by teachers and school administrators.
